#DoorKnockTheBlock: Protecting Womxn’s Rights
October 7 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Donald Trump’s vitriolic misogyny and sexist policies are an assault against the Womxn’s Rights we continue to fight so hard for. Seattle is not immune to this onslaught, and we must step up and fight for Womxn’s Rights everywhere an injustice occurs. As your City Councilmember, I will work tirelessly to ensure that womxn’s health remains a priority in our city- and make sure that no one, not even the president, can steal our rights.
And we must go beyond defending Seattle from Trump- we must confront every injustice and challenge the status quo to continue to fight for equality and the paramount issues surrounding womxn’s health. This is a fight I have fought my entire life, and I promise to continue fighting every day as your City Councilmember.
Join us as we focus on issues around Womxn’s Health! We will be door knocking with our community partners who are passionate about these issues.
If you would like to join us, contact our Field Director Tai at:
- Maintain healthcare for womxn, immigrants, low-income and the LGBTQIA+ community through a city-based clinic network.
- Provide reproductive parity to our community by offering provider sanctuary if reproductive services are threatened.
- Prioritize and pass legislation demanding equal pay for womxn, allow workers to discuss and compare wages without fear of retaliation, and prevent the tracking of womxn into lower paying jobs.
- Fight for greater economic stability for all, by supporting equal pay for womxn, child care for all families, and family and medical leave for all residents.
